With the recent release of the much awaited game Pokemon Go, many 90’s kids wishes have come true. It’s really a great time to be alive because your dream of being the very best Pokemon master is finally coming true! You can capture, train, and battle several Pokemons live and wherever you are. The real life experience Pokemon Go gives to its users is definitely a whole new level of gaming!
Unfortunately for some, Pokemon Go is not yet available in their locations or their place are under a regional ban. Others might have phones that have operating systems that are not compatible with the game.
So what are you going to do when you can’t play Pokemon Go? We’ve come up with things that will make you feel a wee bit better.
1. Rewatch the entire Pokemon series.
Yes, you’ve read that right. Watch EVERYTHING. Watch the entire series from the very beginning of Ash and Pikachu’s journey down to the very last episode. We’re sure that by the time that you finished watching all the Pokemon episodes the regional ban will already be lifted from your place. Plus, you get a chance to experience firsthand knowledge on the many different Pokemons you can catch on Pokemon Go. That’s hitting two birds in one stone! So start planning your Pokemon master plan now.
2. Play Pokemon on your gaming console!
What better way to spend time while waiting for Pokemon Go? Play all the Pokemon games using your DS or use an emulator to play them using other console, phone, or computer. Sure it may not be as exciting as playing Pokemon Go, but at least you can say that you are already training for your ultimate Pokemon master journey.
3. Get fit and get ready for Pokemon GO with Egg hatching
This feature allows you to walk a couple miles for a Pokemon egg to hatch. So even if you have the regional ban in your area, you’d still be able to get a few Pokemons by walking for a designated distance. You can also hatch rare Pokemon eggs, provided that you were able to achieve walking the set distance. The general rule is, the farther the distance, the rarer the Pokemon. Get more info here.
4. Check for new phone options
Since Pokemon Go doesn’t support Intel chipset and Android operating system versions below 4.4, you can opt to buy a new device with a higher and more compatible OS. It doesn’t have to be an expensive phone, but if you’re really interested in playing the game, then a phone upgrade would be the best possible solution.
5. When all else fail, be a Snorlax
Sleep on it and wait for everything to pass. Who knows? Maybe you’d be able to play Pokemon Go once you wake up. Let’s say it, nothing really beats a long and peaceful nap, so just copy one of our favorite Pokemon, Snorlax!
